you tried to kill democracy
you tried to kill love

But you didn’t succeed

Instead
you killed your neighbour
you killed your best friend
you killed your sons and your daughters
your christian sister
your muslim brother
you even killed your father and your mother

You also tried to kill yourself
But you didn’t succeed
you were already dead

We
on the other hand
we live
we’re sad but we still love each other
we still care for one another
no matter one’s skin, religion or nationality
We live
we love
